Wire Wrapping Inspiration! I
I have enjoyed being inspired with ideas and the various ways to use the new Nunn Design Wire Frames. There are such a variety of looks, techniques and “doable in an afternoon at the kitchen table” projects that I can’t help but want to pull out my box of beads and wire and get started! I hope this post inspires you in the same way!
Fusionbeads.com has this great <strong>“Blushing Beauty Earring” tutorial on their website. The tutorial is a downloadable pdf with step-by-step instructions that really make this project look so doable. They describe it as an intermediate level project, but don’t let that frighten you. You might not like your first piece you attempt, but wire wrapping needs practice.
Although this tutorial from Laurel Nathanson on Jewelry Making Daily uses slightly different hoops, it is fun to see the variety of looks that can be created with combining different colorful beads.

The Gem Gypsy has some wonderful wire hoop wrapped earrings.
I really like what Milica from Tangled World is creating with the variety of wire gauges. I can’t help but include in this piece since Valentine’s is just around the corner!

This amazing Polish jewelry designer, Iza Szczpkek, is also a graphic designer. Her work is so beautifully designed, I can see where her graphic background has emerged in her beautiful balance and flow of her wire wrapped and woven jewelry pieces. Really stunning work Iza!
These pieces by Margarita of Margo’s Jewelry Handmade really caught my fancy. Margarita’s earrings shown here are so very delicate, yet the shape and copper wire makes them hip and contemporary. A great combination of design and execution! Margarita also has some great looking tutorials for sale on her Etsy site!
Guki Khalsa is an architect who is passionate about creating. Her pieces are so very elegantly executed with 14k gold-filled wire, pearls, crystals and gemstones. Top notch ingredients with top notch design!
