Tutorial in Step-by-Step Wire

The backstory behind the designing of the pre-shaped open frame findings used in this project developed last year after the team at Nunn Design took a jewelry making class. One of the things we worked on in our quarterly art day was hammering ends of wire and drilling holes. Boy howdy, after some of us messed up the hole positioning a time or two, we all agreed, “this needs streamlining!” Hence, the new pre-shaped open frames.

It is really endless what all can be strung in there. Yes, stick pearls would look beautiful. Even a single large pearl looks great.

Carol. I’m glad you like that design. Super simple to create. The metal finding is bendable and adjustable so you can use any variety of stones and varying widths and make it work. The size of the crystal that I used was 25mm long x 5mm in diameter. Those raw crystals are typically sold on a hank with all sizes, so it does look great using varying lengths and widths. Becky
