Simple Soldering by Kate Richbourg

I have wanted a solid understanding of the basics of soldering, so when I saw that Kate Richbourg, the former education director with Beaducation, was teaching a class at Bead and Button, I signed up. Kate has a way of explaining things that my brain seems to “get.”  It was very well thought out and presented in a way that didn’t make the beginner feel overwhelmed and kept the not so beginner engaged.  I especially enjoyed her instructions -“how to set-up a jewelry workspace that fits the confines of my own personal budget and living space.”  I felt very clear about all that I needed to do and purchase in order to continue making jewelry at home.

Kate taught us several projects from her upcoming book, Simple Soldering.   All the projects were well designed and, yes, simple.  Even I did a great job the first time at soldering.
