During the month of July, we are featuring a series of 6 tutorials using Nunn Design Resin on our website.

For each tutorial, there is a Buy & Try that consists of the findings and supplies you will need to execute that technique. Summer School Class – July 10, 2018

The new Metal Bead Organics are super fun statement pendants, especially when you add a hit of color to them. This technique is also ideal for all of you metal stampers who have less than perfect results when stamping. Colorizing the resin and covering the bead or flat tags is a great way to salvage your inventory.

Class 3: Texturized Resin in an Open Frame Hoops
Summer School Class – July 13, 2018

This technique was discovered when I was in a creative panic over my resin setting up. I was losing my “resin window” as the resin started to get thick and hard in my mixing cup. I was curious to see what would happen if I tried a variety of different things with my soon to be resin waste. This technique of Textured Resin in an Open Frame Hoop was one of the projects that came out rather neat.

The Organic Open Back Bezels make the cutest darn charms. Add them to a cluster for a nice accent or have them be a complete stand-alone statement.

This too is another one of those fun technique discovered while trying not to panic about my “resin window” closing and the mixture become too thick to use. It involves making and creating your own mold using organics and pouring the resin into open back bezels that are placed onto the mold’s surface texture.

This technique has a couple steps, but the end results are very much worth it. This is the only class of this Nunn Design Summer School Series that includes Crystal Clay. I just had to throw this medium into the mix because it is so fun to create!
