New Screw Back Bezels! + DIY Tutorial

Screw Back Bezels are my new favorite thing! Each Screw Back Bezel is cast in lead free pewter with a screw on the bottom of the bezel. Why is this just too cool?! It allows you to attach the bezel onto any surface. People really loved the samples I had in the booth at Bead and Button using my husband’s beat-to-heck old belt that I cut up!!

To attach to any surface:
1. Create a hole in your surface; leather, fabric, shoes, belts, hats, metal…
2. Insert the screw shank through your surface and screw on the nut.
3. I like to apply a dab of glue on the base of the nut and then tighten it down with a pair of needle nose pliers. You can even twist the nut down into the leather so it is recessed.
4. Using a pair of flush cutters, trim away the excess screw shank. The screw shank is very heavy duty, so I recommend placing the flush cutters onto the screw right next to the screw. Turn it upside down so when you cut, the excess screw shank won’t go flying.
5. Using a file or in my case, an emery board, sand down the edge of the shank to make it nice and smooth.
6. See what I mean? Way too cool! Now, you can make both the focal point of the bezel uniquely yours, by attaching it onto the surface that is uniquely yours too!
