Top Drawer is a category that we came up with here at Nunn Design to describe my lifetime goal: to have every object in my home consist of a memory and have meaning. This goal came from my personal vision of what my life will hopefully look like when I’m 80. I want to be able to open each of my drawers and have a story behind the contents inside. So, for starters, here is my living room.
My keys are tossed on the found green table my husband salvaged from a dumpster (now that starts off with a great memory!). The large rectangle mirror once held a tacky print that we purchased on a road trip along the Oregon Coast (the car was brimming with finds from that trip!). The round frame was last year’s Christmas present from Santa (who also shops at the Goodwill!). The Italian gold leaf lamp was purchased at Summer House, my favorite PT shop. The letter “B” was purchased in Petaluma, CA at a flea market. That wasn’t the easiest thing to cram in my suitcase, but I certainly don’t think about those things when junkin’!
