How to Make Leather Wrapped Fringe Earrings
The chocolate fringe, copper wire and tiny pearls are a great combination for these fringe earrings! If the finished product, as earrings, is just a little too hippy for your daytime job (or if your little ones are too tempted to yank on them!), consider attaching the tassels onto a key chain or purse.

Supplies Needed:
A. 38” Deerskin Lace 5mm-Chocolate
B. 4’ 26 Gauge Wire-Copper
C. 2 Ear Wires-Copper
D. 12 4mm Pearl Beads
E. 2 9mm Textured Jumpring Circle-Cop
F. 2 Grande Rope Jump Ring-Copper
Tools Needed:
1 pair of Flush Cutters
2 pair of Needle Nose Pliers
1 Ruler
1 Pair of Scissors
Step 1:
Cut the Deerskin Lace Leather 5mm Chocolate into 3 separate 6” lengths. Thread the Deerskin Lace Leather through the Grande Rope Jump Ring and fold at the center.
Step 2:
Cut 2’ of 26 Gauge Wire-Copper and wrap the folded over Deerskin Lace Leather several times, securing the leather to the Grande Rope Jump Ring.
Step 3:
Thread and wrap each of the six 4mm pearl beads onto the Deerskin Lace Leather. When the pearls are wrapped in a cluster, tuck the end of the wire into the wrapped area and trim. You should have excess wire that you will need to use in Step 4.
Once the tassel is assembled, trim the ends of the Deerskin Lace Leather to the desired length.
Step 4:
Cut 1” of Deerskin Lace Leather. Make an oval loop with one end overlapping the other. Make sure there will be plenty of room on both ends of the loop to thread through the Grande Rope Jump Ring and the 9mm Textured Jump Ring. Wire wrap 1” of 26 Gauge Copper Wire in the center of the loop.
Step 5:
Attach both jump rings to the oval loop created in Step 4. Attach the Ear wire to the top of the 9mm Jump Ring.
Step 6:
Repeat Steps 1-5 to make your matching set!
