Leather is a trend that still keeps going! However, in many samples included in this post the leather isn’t the focal point. The leather provides a structural integral part of the jewelry or contributes to the visual aesthetics. Here is some inspiration!
This past week we have been focusing on tutorials and videos featuring the use of Deerskin Lace. Deerskin Lace is harvested from North American Deer and is made in the United States. The leather is super soft and great for all sorts of jewelry making projects. I love the earthy, yet elegant feel of this leather.
Be inspired with our blog post from December 2013 where we featured 20 projects to braid, knot and tie one on. These 20 jewelry inspirations use leather cording and leather cuff bracelets.

Although Simone over on the Etsy blog created this Sailor’s Knot Bracelet tutorial using twine, shouldn’t it work with Leather Cord or Deerskin Lace?

Christine Chandler is creating some amazing pieces on her Etsy site. I love how Christine describes her work: “The combination of pearls & leather expresses who I am along with my passions & journey in life. Keep it real & earthy, but make it beautiful & elegant.”
