Explore The Possibilities! Charm Bracelets

(Updated Feb 2025 | Original post Feb 24 2023)

Mixed media jewelry will always be my favorite genre. There’s something special about the look of handmade pieces and the endless creative possibilities that allow each artist to bring their own personal style to life.

In the past, we’ve hosted art retreats here in Port Townsend, Washington, where makers gathered to explore different jewelry techniques and create together. One of the standout projects from our last retreat in 2019 was a charm bracelet featuring charms created using a variety of techniques. Each bracelet reflected the individual creativity of its maker—same materials, same methods, yet no two pieces were alike!

Be Inspired!

Looking back at these projects reminds me of the magic that happens when artists gather to create. Here are the completed charm bracelets from the students of that retreat!

I love this post too! I is a lot of fun to see what each person creates. Many of these makers have never done anything with these techniques!
