Innovation Team Member, Stephanie Gard Buss, showed us a project a couple weeks ago that was on her workbench. We loved it so much, we asked Stephanie to create a DIY Druzy Resin Tutorial for us. Download this great and free DIY Tutorial and enjoy learning yet another new technique!

Stephanie — what type of stone would you recommend for the “smashing” portion?
Thanks,
Lee
Hello Lee,
We’ve updated the PDF to address this as well, but Stephanie says, “They were semiprecious stone beads that I had, and I started with some that had broken when I tried to use a bead reamer on them. My favorite stone resource is Beads Direct, out of North Carolina. Leslie and Mary are really wonderful”
Hi–Sorry I just saw this. I usually use trial and error–the softer the stone, the better, though ideally you would use stones that were already broken. Amethyst, citrine, and carnelian work really well.
