Click! Learn! Make! – Part 6 Online Tutorials using Resin, Clay, Molds and Organics

Over the past couple weeks we have been focusing on supporting the Nunn Design Master Catalogue with a series of Click! Learn! Make! blog posts. This series will be your guide to learning over 30 tutorials on using resin, clay, molds and organics through interacting with our Master Catalogue. Welcome to part 6 of our Click! Learn! Make! series.

The Nunn Design Master Catalogue is designed to inspire our customers AND to educate them on how to do the various projects throughout the pages.

Here is how we designed the catalogue pages with your interaction in mind:

  • Download the online digital Master Catalogue
  • Throughout the catalogue, click on an image that you would like to learn more about. The catalogue will link you to the Nunn Design website where you will learn more. Maybe the project won’t be an exact match, but the technique will be very much like what you are seeing.

Here are the links to the other Click! Learn! Make! blog posts within this series:

Technique 1: Sculpted Crystal Clay with Colorized Resin

Over the years I have taken several pottery classes. It is one of those art forms that requires a kiln and a larger workspace, so I was never able to fall into the habit of creating with the medium due to those requirements. When I started to play with Crystal Clay on my kitchen table, I was excited to be able to create the porcelain look that I so loved with fired pottery, without the equipment.

This technique requires several steps, but is not difficult to do. Even a beginning jewelry artist can create amazing pieces. Let me show you how! Click! Learn! Make!

Although this tutorial is really about creating “holiday ornaments,” it is ideal for learning the overall technique!

Technique 2: Colorized Resin with Organics

This technique has been REALLY popular for us. It does involve being educated about how to prepare organics, how to mix and colorize resin (shoot-there are so many color formulas to choose from!) and how to have continual success in order to master this craft. But, boy howdy! It is worth your time!
