A Place Where We All Belong
Belonging has been a topic that has been on my mind a lot as of late. Maybe it is because I’m witnessing my 17 year-old daughter, Emillia, as she navigates so many transitions in her life. As with other young adults, Emillia is questioning who she is. Where she has come from. Where she belongs.
This questioning has stirred up a lot of feelings for me. Like Emillia at her age, I struggled to feel like I belonged. I felt slightly off beat. Out of sync with the world around me.
I have come to experience true belonging within our community of Nunn Design makers. I have found my niche. My tribe of kindred spirits. I have found makers that are wickedly creative, yet solid business people. Makers committed to living a creative life. Makers that are curious, brave and passionate learners.
To celebrate our community here at Nunn Design, we are collaborating with our customers to create a Meet the Makers addition to our website. Weather your art form is fiber, resin, painting, embroidery, mosaic, beading, polymer clay or metal stamping, we are a community of makers here to support one another.
We are a community of Makers, celebrating other Makers.
This is my idea of belonging.
