I made a decision late last year to start living a “fear less” life. That meant making some very conscious choices to step out onto the ice personally and professionally. I have stopped using terms like “I can’t do that” or “that’s too difficult”. I used to fall into the trap of limiting myself by using those terms. I was afraid of making mistakes, or not having something be perfect, or making something that people might not like.

I took the plunge to move my hobby into a business earlier this year. I’m working at turning my ideas into different lines of jewelry (with the help of the great Nunn Design products) that I can sell. Now I look at something, and instead of saying “I can’t do that,” I start thinking about how it might be done or using it as a starting point for my own creativity.

I have finally begun to believe that I deserve the success I’m finding. Once I let it happen, it really has taken off. And I’ve learned to take to heart the lesson of my best teacher who makes us say this at the beginning of every class — “That’s exactly the way I want it to be!”

    Kelly,

    So well put.
In an earlier post, I created a piece for myself using one of the Glass Keepsake Pendant. I have a little message in the Pendant to help remind me of what I am capable of being. The scroll states “I am all I believe I am”. To me, you touched on this same thinking. I need to think big. Dream big. Keep moving forward.

    Keep moving forward Kelly!

    Becky
