Artisan Feature: Susan Wade

riveted-etched butterfly bracelet

Over the past couple years I have taken classes from various instructors at The Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee, WI. I love learning new things. I do often struggle with taking what I have learned and incorporating it into my jewelry making. Sometimes this is because the tool set-up and supply list are so overwhelming that by the time I acquire everything I need I have forgotten what I learned!

This wasn’t the case with the class that I took from Susan Wade on Metal Etching. After taking her class, it was easy for me to gather the supplies and to be on my way with metal etching. Sure, I could have read a book, but sometimes it takes hand-holding to actually “DO IT.”

Learn From Her At Bead & Button

Susan has been making, selling and teaching jewelry making for over a decade. I highly recommend taking one of her classes if you are interested in metal etching, colorizing metals, and/or soldering. She will be teaching 7 different classes this year at Bead & Button.
