2020 Fall Trend – SIMPLICITY!
Trending Now is SIMPLICITY
Two summers ago when I was traveling in Italy, I was surprised to see the simplicity of the jewelry that was trending. When I mentioned this observation to a friend of mine (whom I consider an expert on tracking trends), she said it was the Italians celebrating the “vivendo il momento” or “living in the moment.” Italians were experiencing very uncertain times with their country’s economy in 2018. Their jewelry was simple to reflect their desire to focus on living well and simply in uncertain times.
It isn’t surprising to see the trend of simplicity peak during these Covid Times. Not only because I saw it trending in Italy, but because I have been experiencing a need to simplify all aspects of my own life. My clothing choices are driven by comfort. My work life is streamlined and the focus is on what is essential.
Over the past few weeks, I have managed to sneak out of the warehouse where I have been fulfilling all of your orders and into my office studio. My focus was to create stretch cord bracelets, earrings and to design with simple focal accents from the 2020 fall collections of jewelry findings.
