2019 Nunn Design Spring Semester Launches
Today with 3 New Tutorials!
Three new tutorials posted on the Nunn Design Blog today and they are part of the 2019 Nunn Design Spring Semester. The class series consists of 5 free online classes. Class 1 is broken into 3 tutorials because the base is the same, but with small tweaks a totally different look can be achieved.
Here is a review with links to the three new tutorials featured today! You can just enjoy the tutorials and not be part of the Spring Semester, OR you can join us for any or all of them!

Class 1 – Part 1: Crystal Clay, PearlEx Powders and Colorized Resin
While exhibiting at the Tucson To Bead True Blue Show, this technique was one of the most asked about pieces ( as in, “is this for sale…?”) What I love about the techniques that we offer here at Nunn Design is that even the simplest of techniques can look fabulous!

I am thrilled with how these pieces look! I knew I had a winner when we were asked over and over again, “do you also sell the stones”. This look really has a high end feel, yet is fairly simple to execute.

Class 1 – Part 3: Crystal Clay, Mica Flakes and Colorized Resin
I was curious on how to create more of a reflective quality in my resin pieces. By applying a layer of Crystal Clay and embedding Mica Flakes prior to pouring the colorized resin into the bezel allowed for a more reflective pop to the resin. Once the resin has cured, the resin is gently sanded to provide the dull matte finish. The overall results I think they are stunning.
