16 New Jewelry Inspirations Using Nunn Design Resin!

With each new product release, I block out a week to create in my “home studio” (ahh, that would be my kitchen table). During this time, I explore ways to use the newly releasing products. This inspiration is what we use to market and inspire.

During my last play session, I was obsessed with using parts and pieces that I had made in previous art sessions (because it was starting to take over my work surface!). Often when I mix resin, I have extra, so I start pouring the resin onto whatever surface I can find. Here are some of the finished pieces I created using those extra bits and pieces.

During a Nunn Design Art Day, there was a lot of extra white colorized mixed resin lying about in cup. I partially filled several of our Patera Bracelets with the excess colorized resin to “put it to use.” Once the white resin was cured in the base of the bracelet links, I mixed a batch of clear Nunn Design Resin. I drizzled a tiny bit of the clear resin over the colorized white cured resin, dropped in a brass stamping, and poured more clear resin over that. Super easy. No bubbles. Love the look.

As the colorized resin “off-gasses,” I have had little dimples in my resin show up from time to time. On the Paris themed bracelet above, I had more dimples than usual because I wanted to use every last bit of my mixed resin. It was like taffy by the time I filled these bezels. I should have just stopped…but then I wouldn’t have created this piece. Anyway, where the dimples were I pressed in a little crystal to hide the dimples.

This grouping of jewelry was created with Crystal Clay that I sculpted using a silicone mold. Once the Crystal Clay is air dried (it only takes 12 hours to cure), I drizzled some colorized resin over the top. I love this porcelain like look.

For this piece, I pressed black Crystal Clay down into the bezels, embedded the brass stampings, then once the clay was cured, drizzled some mixed Nunn Design Resin over the top. You might spot some items you don’t recognize. There is a tease of some new toggle rings and bar in this piece.

It was a super fun week. I hope you are inspired to create!
